Shaefar Holt

Shaeffer is a screenwriter and a citizen of the Chickasaw Nation. He from Norman, Oklahoma, and was raised in the Oklahoma City area. He received his BA in Film from the University of Oklahoma, where he wrote his first short, Thursday, directed by Travers Jacobs. He then graduated from DePaul University in Chicago with an MFA in screenwriting. Shaeffer moved to Los Angeles and began working as a personal assistant and script reader for Hunt Lowry at his production company, Roserock Films, at the Warner Brothers lot in Burbank, California. Shaeffer then started working at SuperJacket Productions, producing Ridiculousness on MTV, starting in season 8 and staying on the show for over forty seasons (1650+ episodes). While with SuperJacket, he also produced season 3 of Nickelodeon’s Crashletes, all three seasons of MTV’s Deliciousness, both seasons of MTV’s Messyness and MTV’s Adorableness. He also developed and produced two aired Pilots in 2019 for MTV: Grossness and WTF!ness. During the pandemic, while working with SuperJacket, Shaeffer moved to New York, where he lives with his partner, Michelle, and their two dogs, a Labrador named Maggie and a Basset Hound named Lambeau. When he’s not writing, Shaeffer enjoys watching sports, specifically baseball and basketball. Shaeffer is a fan of the Oklahoma City Thunder, DePaul University Blue Demons, and the Baltimore Orioles.
