Seth Brings Plenty is a Lakota filmmaker, photographer, and cultural advocate born and raised on the Cheyenne River Indian Reservation in South Dakota. Grounded in a lifelong connection to the land, language, and spiritual traditions of his people, he approaches documentary filmmaking not as craft alone, but as an act of sovereignty: a commitment to telling Lakota stories from the inside out.
His debut documentary, MiLakóta Yeló, is an intimate portrait of a Lakota grandmother, rooted in cultural identity, language, and the living memory carried by the people of Cheyenne River Lakota lands.
Beyond film, Seth produces video and photography under Ota Au Films. Across every medium, his work centers Indigenous sovereignty, cultural preservation, and community accountability.
