Brittanie Sheree is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation and multi-talented artist with a passion for using humor to elevate Indigenous stories. As a writer, stand-up comedian, actor, filmmaker, and business owner Brittanie has carved a unique niche by blending comedy and history. Brittanie starts every project with the same goal: How can I trick people into learning by making them laugh? She’s the owner and creator of the highly rated French Quarter Dark History Comedy Walking Tour in New Orleans. Her tour challenges stereotypes and provides a humorous yet thought-provoking exploration of history.
Forced by her friends in 2016 to try stand-up, Brittanie’s comedic talents quickly blossomed. Her debut performance was a resounding success, igniting a lifelong passion for stand-up. She’s performed throughout New York City, where she co-produced her own weekly comedy show, and even taken her act overseas to prestigious festivals like the Edinburgh Fringe and headlined at the Athens English Comedy Club. Additionally, Brittanie has ventured into other creative projects like sketch comedy and her own solo show, It’s Brittanie B****!- a humorous and sometimes sad look at her life told through Britney Spears songs. In 2023, she wrote, directed, and starred in her own short film, Dear John, which explored the true story between Pocahontas and John Smith through a satirical and musical lens. It premiered during the LA Skins fest at the TCL Chinese Theatre. You’ve also seen her on your television acting in popular shows like Better Call Saul and Grey’s Anatomy.
