Chase Hall is an emerging Blackfeet screenwriter from Browning, Montana where he grew up on the Blackfeet screenwriter. Originally born in a larger city, his parents made the choice to move back home so that their family could live with their people and grow up knowing where they come from. Chase still carries with him that strong sense of community and identity . In high school, Chase directed his first short film titled, “The Last Day.” The film ended up winning the heart award from the Portland film festival in 2017. After high school, Chase enrolled in his local college, Blackfeet Community College where he earned an associates degree in liberal studies. During his time there, Chase received a literary award for his writing. Afterwards, Chase attended Montana State University where he received a B.A. in Film & Photography with a minor focused in Native American Studies. Chase also served as the marketing director for the American Indian Council at Montana State University. As a writer, Chase is deeply passionate about authentic representations of Native Americans in film. Moreso, opportunities for indigenous creatives to get behind the camera and craft their own stories. Chase strives to create stories in his work that showcase our true depth and humanity. When not working on his writing, Chase works as a small time videographer in his community and any productions nearby.
