Danielle DuPont

Danielle Dupont is a citizen of the Chickasaw Nation from Oklahoma and an aspiring television writer with a passion for genre storytelling. Before pursuing film and television, Danielle was a college hockey captain and engineering student majoring in computer science, balancing the demands of athletics and academics. When COVID hit, she took a step back to reevaluate what she truly wanted from her life and career. This led her to film and TV. Storytelling was the first thing that made her feel truly seen in her own experiences, inspiring her to pursue writing with the hope of creating that same feeling for others. But expectation had pushed her away from pursuing it. Wanting to start her journey and create that same feeling for others, she reached out to writer Amanda Overton, one of the head writers of a show that impacted her deeply. Amanda encouraged her and helped guide her. Eventually, that mentorship helped guide her toward her first opportunity in development and eventually brought her to Los Angeles. Danielle has had the opportunity to work on multiple upcoming projects, including Fortiche Production’s feature film Penelope of Sparta as a writers’ assistant and an animated adaptation of George R. R. Martin short stories as a showrunner’s assistant. Her work focuses on emotionally grounded genre stories that explore identity and connection in ways that make people feel a little less alone.
