Daveishena D. Redhouse is Navajo/Dine from Shiprock, New Mexico. Daveishena is a Masters student in animation at the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD). Daveishena is an avid artist and developed her style through years of painstaking handwritten drawings that shared her stories, characters and unique voice. Her mission is to bring more indigenous representation to the animation arena. Daveishena seeks to create characters that look like her and people from her community that will empower Native American youth. She wants to inspire future generations to achieve their dreams and to be proud of their culture, their language and their history.
