Incentives for employment of Native Americans in film, television and new media is a vital component to advancing our community in entertainment. Similar to successful models in New Zealand and Canada, this entails creating a tax incentive that will provide potential relief from state or federal taxes for those entertainment entities hiring Native Americans for film, television and new media. The strategy will be outlined through an exploratory process working with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, the Department of the Interior and individual state governments. Additional information will be made available as the process will undertake numerous efforts to effect this initiative.
