3rd Annual Native American Writers Seminar – Fellows Selected

3rd Annual Native American Writers Seminar – Fellows Selected

The 3rd Annual Native American Writers Seminar, in partnership with US Bank and the Cherokee Nation Film Office, has announced nine selected fellows for this year’s program.

“We look forward to ushering in a new group of Native Americans through our emerging writers program.” Announced Ian Skorodin, director of strategy of the Native American Media Alliance. “Each year, we see indigenous storytellers breakthrough creatively and professionally through this seminar.”

The Native American Writers Seminar is a two month intensive that supports emerging writers who are new to the film and television industry. This initiative provides new access for Native Americans to advance their career and develop their writing sample. All participants chosen for the seminar will workshop an existing script with accomplished and seasoned writers from motion picture and television series. The program provides intensive development workshops and is accompanied by rigorous writing sessions.

In addition, the seminar provides representatives from prestigious fellowships and past participants of Native American Media Alliance writing programs. These speakers share insight into career development, professional growth and new writing opportunities.
