4th Annual Native American Writers Room

4th Annual Native American Writers Room

The 4th year of the writers room oversaw the development of a new feature length screenplay. The initial two scripted projects developed in the Writers Room were TV series for both comedic and dramatic outlets with a large contingent of writers and contributors. This project pivoted to a new format in feature film and a new genre exploring horror. This script also utilized a single NAMA fellow writer to develop and execute the new project.

The writers room focused on creative development with numerous outlines, treatments and character stories drafted and implemented. Several story consultants and veteran writers were included in the process to provide feedback, guidance and advice on creating the best script possible.

This script is set in Sardinia and was featured at the 2019 Berlin Film Market with the Sardinian Film Commission slate of projects. The script is currently in development and being overseen by incredible writers from past Native American Media Alliance labs.
