5th Annual Native American Writers Room

5th Annual Native American Writers Room

The 5th Annual Native American Writers Room explores a new half hour comedy series that reflects important values in Native America! We are excited to announce this new scripted project and our partnership with the California Arts Council.

“This year’s writers room will explore another important and overlooked facet of Native America!” Announced Ian Skorodin, CEO Barcid Foundation. “Each year, the writers room breaks new ground in looking at different communities within the indigenous world and this room will be no different.”

This series will reflect Native America through a unique perspective and will share the voice of lesser heard groups that include youth, women, Two-Spirit and the differently abled within our tribes. These perspectives provide insight into how individuals provide incredible value to our communities. This project will have Native American writers, health experts and community leaders develop a new series that provides genuine insight into our people’s health, education and financial status. The outcome will provide new perspectives on the well-being of our community.
